Why Get Into Music Again?
I’ve been producing and making music for over 25 years. I’ve dropped more than 20 underground albums in St. Louis and produced countless others along the way.
Then I stepped away from music for about 10 years. I got married. Raised a family. Life just took me in a different direction.
But in April 2026, I was finally in a position to go out and buy some new equipment and software. Then, before you know it, I’m buying VST after VST — and if you know, you know… this is an expensive world! And here we are.
What’s crazy is that I created the majority of this album in the first two weeks. I was honestly amazed. After going cold turkey from making music for 10 years, I didn’t even know if I could still do it. But almost instantly, I started making some of the best tracks I’ve ever made. It felt like I never left.
The original tracklist actually had three different songs that I eventually had to remove because we couldn’t fit everything on the vinyl. So I still have those tucked away. Maybe one day I’ll drop them.
Why a Vinyl-Only Project?
I’ve had this plan — or better yet, this dream — for a while.
First off, I’m a huge vinyl collector. It’s pretty much the only way I buy music anymore, and for the most part, it’s how I really listen to music. To me, vinyl is the best way to experience an album. The oversized artwork. The jacket. The different vinyl colors. The smell when the tubes get hot after a long spin. And then, of course, there’s the sound of vinyl. There’s nothing better.
That’s why I called this project A Vinyl Experience. When you listen to an album on vinyl, you’re usually involved in the process. You’re not just throwing some music on and going about your day while it plays in the background. No, no, no. It’s an experience.
From the music, to the artwork, to the vinyl itself, to the different packages we’re offering — I wanted the entire project to feel like something you experience, not just something you listen to.
So despite a few people telling me not to limit the album’s reach, I made the decision to release it exclusively on vinyl. I care more about the experience than the reach. At this point in my life, I’m not chasing music fame or money. I’m just creating. And hopefully, I’m creating an experience for whoever wants to listen.
The album moves through different genres, sounds, moods, and emotions. My music has always been very emotional. I love creating melodies that take you somewhere without having to say a single word.
Only 100 copies of this album will exist. I hope whoever is lucky enough to own one truly enjoys the experience.
The Artwork
I’m extremely proud of the artwork for this album.
My original vision was a crazy world outside — a world surrounded by war, drugs, abandonment, natural disasters, chaos, and everything else life can throw at us. Then, in the middle of all of it, there’s just a small one-room shack with a chair and a record player. The meaning is simple:
Music can silence it ALL.
Music has been incredibly important throughout my life, and I know countless other people can say the same. Music has always been there through every up and every down. Sometimes it’s an escape. Sometimes it’s therapy. And sometimes, it can genuinely feel life-saving.
I wanted the artwork to tell that story without needing any words.
I was very happy working with Tezz Cover Art. He understood what I was trying to create from the very first idea I gave him and brought that vision to life. For this project, I NEEDED the artwork to be just as important as the music because it’s the visual side of the entire experience.
I’m trying to take the listener somewhere with music that has no words. That’s already a tough task, lol. So the artwork had to help complete that journey before the needle even touched the record. I think we did it.
